Great Mind Mapping Tool, does ALMOST everything you could want.
Mind Node is an excellent tool for brainstorming, making lists, etc. I have found that seeing the relationship between parent and child “thoughts” has really helped my brainstorming process. The interface is elegant and well-designed. IMO it’s not quite worth $30 ($19.99 seems like a better price point). The one complaint I would have would be that it has some diagramming limitations. There is no option (as far as I can tell) to use a vertical, rather than horizontal option for something similar to a flow chart or wireframe. It would also be nice to be able to change where the on each “node” they link. To be fair, a big part of what makes MindNode great for ‘mindmapping’ is the simplicity. It’s clean, with limited presentation options. It doesn’t have a massive design pallette, like full-featured graphing tools (Omnigraffle or Visio); just add nodes and type. However, I really do think it could stand to add a few more features that would make it useful for a few more functions without sacrificing the simplicity that makes it great at what it’s made for.
