Distinctly average
If you’re looking for a basic, no frills mind map app, you could definitely do worse than this. It’s easy to use and colorful. However, with the exception is that it DOES support cross-list connections (which is useful for connecting ideas between branches), there’s really nothing special here.
It only provides one customized theme slot, and there’s no way to quickly annotate or differentiate nodes aside from an anemic set of stickers, your own images, or the multi-step process of recoloring selected nodes manually in the style editor. None of these are hard, but neither are they convenient--and convience is paramount in the frenzied flow of note-taking and brainstorming.
I don’t regret getting this, necessarily, but I do regret paying $20 for it. There are plenty of free options that are just as good.
