Enjoying making outlines using this software. I am moving all outlining for classroom lectures and activities to MindNode and exporting different versions for sharing with students and making presentations using Markdown and PDF, primarily to Evernote and iBooks through iA Writer Pro and Ulysses. Two features I’m very happy with that I do not see in other comparable software are the detachable note windows and the Outline view along the side. The overall look of the app is engaging and inviting, and I like using it.
As usual, the iCloud support works about as well as iCloud itself does, which seems to mean it’s either fantastic or painful; generally I am not having problems syncing about two dozen loaded maps between my Macs and iOS devices. The print options on the Mac are good, but I would not mind a simple “indented outline” print option without the color bars. Also, at this time it’s not possible to print or export a branch of a map, instead of the entire thing; this is not a big problem. Updates with fixes are coming along nicely and in my one interaction with support, I received a fast response. A feature I could use is an automatically numbering option of branches and nodes, like Harvard style.
