Better, but I was hoping for more
I’ve been mindmapping for a long time with several different tools. Most of them are too child-simple and rather garish. MindJet - which I started using something like 10 years ago - had features, even then, that most of these tools can’t touch. But mindJet has pivoted and become more expensive, and less mac-friendly … so I have an older, unsupported version on my mac.
So when I saw this announcement with features like linking to files, I got very excited. Finally, a modern simple tool with these critical features.
Wll, Mindnode 2 has them, but they’re still pretty limited. You can only have one file linked to a node… you can’t have a URL linked… the annotations and visual editing are still very limited…I can’t find a way to show free floating text… i can’t find internode connections that are not part of the tree.
All in all, its “somewhat” useful. More professional than a lot of the mind mapping tools, but still far from Top Shelf. I’ll probably keep using my old minjet version until they add more features and capabilities.
